Training Golden Retrievers - Lynn and Malcolm Stringer
Lynn and Malcolm have bred and trained Golden retrievers for many years and have built their reputation on the belief that with careful and consistent training and firm but fair training techniques, Goldens compare favourably with any gun dog breed. Both are "A" panel judges and judge trials and tests regularly in the UK and throughout Europe. Golden Retrievers are essentially kennel dogs, but the breed has the temperament to make an ideal companion for their owners. They have proved themselves to be extremely versatile, competing successfully in trials and working tests and are an asset on any shooting day. Lynn and Malcolm believe that training your dog is about managing your dog - taking their natural skills and abilities and managing them so that they use them for you. There are no short cuts. Their training methods require consistent and regular sessions, creating new experiences and situations for the dog without all the tensions of a formal training programme. So make it fun.
